Xiphos (formerly known as GnomeSword) is a Bible study tool written for Linux, UNIX, and Windows using GTK, offering a rich and featureful environment for reading, study, and research using modules from The SWORD Project and elsewhere. It is open-source software, and available free-of-charge to all.

Further releases
Plans for the next Xiphos release revolve around final feature parity between Linux and Windows (especially the better display engine, providing many features such as blocked Strong's and morphology display) and full integration of Sword's new alternate versification capability with how Xiphos manages book/chapter/verse information.
